I was a little skeptical about this cable and monster in general. but the cable that microsoft gives you does component or composite which kind of bugged me. this cable is definitely higher quality. the difference in picture quality is noticeable right away. with the first party cable text was a bit blurry, with the monster cable the text looks like it should. you can read a review at team xbox, I would agree with what they said about it. however, I would not pay 50 dollars for this cable. look around and find a good price. I got mine for 20. if you’re going to use component I would recommend this cable.

I don’t know why PlayStation dropped the ball and does NOT include component cables with the console to begin with. Xbob360 Elite offers a 2-in-1 Component / AV cable so you can go either way depending on your needs, PS3 should’ve done same thing. If you want component cables for PS3, Madcatz are good cables.

If you want HD quality video out of your Xbox, but it’s not an Elite, than you want these cables. For $40, this includes everything you need to take your standard Xbox to the next level of video quality. And I don’t know if it’s just my HDTV or cables or what, but for whatever reason, the standard cables that come with an Xbox do not produce anything that looks better than normal component quality, even using the HD plugs and flipping the switch on the AV cable, so this is what you ACTUALLY want.
