The faceplate looks great, so for that, I give it a 5 out of 5 on looks. But as far as function, it’s only so-so. The little nub that’s suppose to transmit IR signals into the body of the 360, for the remote control, was both bent and poorly formed. This causes the 360’s Remote control to be rather hard to use. I now have to aim it VERY directly, or it won’t pick up the signal at all. If I didn’t like the look of the faceplate so much, I would have chucked it into the trash. But I put up with it. So my score is likewise, an “ok”, 3 out of 5.

be careful before purchasing this item. this cable will NOT play games on an old tv. i repeat. NOT. so if you wanted to play games on your tv like i did, don’t get this one. if you have an HD tv, then get the D-Terminal AV cable. thats the one you need. overall, this item is pretty cool. i can do everything except play games. have fun! and be cautious!
Customer Review: Works good but…
The product is fine, and it was a great price I got it at, however please beware that you can not play games with the S-video cord. You need the component cable and an HDTV to be able to play the games. The game will not work on a regular tv. I did not know this when I purchased it and may not have gotten it if I had. But I have a location free player, so I do make use out of the cord by being able to watch my DVR in another room so it does have value for me.

Now this could be an attempt to take some momentum from Sony and their PS3 or is it possibly a way to make room for some new innovation that Microsoft has up their sleeve. Either way this will make the Xbox 360 a definite bargain when it comes to purchasing a video game console. Now begs the question on whether or not Sony will follow suit in lowering their prices on the PS3 and possibly other systems, being their largest competitors with extreme realism in their design of graphics should make this an interesting holiday season for purchasing a console. Apparently these changes will leave the Xbox 360 Pro version with a jaw dropping price tag of around $299.99. Imagine a great system at an affordable price without giving up any extras. With the latest news predicting that we could see the new prices take effect as soon as mid September and adding this could be just the beginning. Let’s hope that the gaming industry picks up on this trend and ensures excellent consoles at cheaper price …
