I finally decided to go optical with my Playstation 3 and my media/surround system. First I looked at Monster cables Monster Cable Fiber Optic Digital Audio Cable for PlayStation 3 (10 Feet) , but in my Amazon search I found the Intec Playstation 3 Optical Cable which at the time of my search (and this writing) cost less than the Monster cable.

Arrived today actually 1 day earlier then I thought. I immediately hooked it up and the picture was great. Using s-video before on my PS2 it was exactly what I expected. Now im going to purchase the fiber-optic cable for my surround sound system. The price is also better then what I expected compared to some of the other monster cables.

Customer Review: Not bad- not worth it either
While it is true monster builds a good qualitly product. It is way overpriced. I just bought a phillips high speed cable with the 24k gold and pure copper insides with metal shielding. I was not going for anything but a better shielded cable to reduce noise over the really old cheap first generation cable I had. My old cable was dropping out too much on my ps3. The new cable cut the picture noise by half. I tried one of these monster cables a friend had too and we found the phillips to match it in terms of noise reduction and qualtiy of signal.

Monster specializes in cables and these cables were a steal for the price at the time.These cables worked great and great build quality and materials (gold tips). my friend connected these cables to his ps3 and his 40″ Sony bravia 1080p was able to play games at 1080i. These cables are definitely worth it. The only minor con : Me and my friend wish they cable with instruction or some labeling. It took us like 15minutes to get the right combination (there are 2 blue cables.)

Pretty simple: this cable performs awesomely on both HDTV’s and SDTV’s that have component inputs. I was also surprised that it didn’t cost me quite as much as a typical Monster cable (which are all WAY overpriced in stores).

First of, these are QUALITY AND DURABLE made cables comparable OR better than to Monster cables but tons cheaper. I bought it for $18.99. If i was to buy these from monster cables, it would have cost me $$100!! Do not stir away just cause of the low price, these are truly a quality/durabe cables and im your proof AND not to mention superfast processing of my order resulting in fast delivery to my door. Bought it July 24th at 1am, got it July 26th noon via USPS, from Califormia to Michigan!
Do not buy the same cables at your local stores or anywhere else Please. Monster-Cable-n-More provides, fast processing and most importantly, QUALITY CABLES!
